The Longest Way is a very clever photographic recount of Christoph Rehage’s walk through China over the course of one year from Beijing to Ürümqi in 2007 and 2008.

About the trip he said, ‘In 2008, I walked through China – one year, more than 4500km. All the while, I let my hair and my beard grow. This is the resulting video. It is made up of 1400 individual photographs and video clips. And it is dedicated to Teacher Xie, a man who has been walking through China for more than thirty years now. Walking isn’t just about feeling awesome and “finding yourself” on the road. There are self-doubts. There is moral decay and sadness. And then there is the beautiful absurdity of being alive.’

We realise this is a bit old but it is a great and original peice of film making and therefore if you haven’t seen it, you should.
